Rub Some Dirt On It

The purpose of Rub Some Dirt On It is to challenge the image and idea that we place on the southern male and the consequences of such stigmatization. I will be presenting personal struggles and mental states as the focal point of the series. I will create a series of four self-portraits with surrounding imagery that reflects my mental state at the times being represented. Through these oil painting self-portrait collages, I will get the audience to address the issues I am referencing in the series.
